AP Exam Registration window to open on February 1st

To AP Students/Parents:
The window to register for AP tests will open on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, and remains open until Tuesday, February 28, 2017. Any AP tests not registered for by February 28th will not be ordered.

Please take the time to review all of the information on the 2016-2017 AP Terms and Conditions attached to this email and also posted on the AP page of the Guidance website.
When registering for an AP test, PLEASE choose the correct test. For example, there are two Spanish AP tests – Spanish Language and Spanish Literature. Juniors would be signing up for the Language test while seniors take the Literature test. Students in an AP English class are most like signing up for AP English Literature & Composition. The AP English Language test is only for a particular VHS class. Students enrolled in AP Economics MUST register for BOTH the Macroeconomics AND Microeconomics tests.

Similar to last year, AP test registration takes place through MySchoolBucks (MSB). If you have established an account for the purchase of school lunches, then you log in to that account and choose the AP store. If you do not currently have a MSB account, you will need to create one. Instructions for creating an account and for purchasing AP tests can be found on the AP page of the Guidance website: http://hamilton.ccsct.com/page.cfm?p=2271

Families who qualify for and currently receive free or reduced price lunches will also receive an automatic discount for AP tests. The College Board sets the exam fee at $93 per test. Discounted exams will be $53 each during registration with a possible additional state refund to be determined at a later date. Purchases through MSB can be made via an eCheck transaction for which a flat $1.35 fee will be added or via a credit card transaction which is subject to a 3.95% fee.
Even if you registered for AP tests last year, please take the time to review the purchasing instructions. If you have any questions, please call the Guidance Office at 978-468-0480 or send an email to Andrea Adamo, Guidance Secretary at a.adamo@hwschools.net or to Dr. Kristen Lazzaro, Director of Guidance and AP Coordinator at k.lazzaro@hwschools.net.
